The Ocean

The bright blue sky
With soft clouds gently floating
Below the sky a clear blue sea
The sea crashes its waves against the white sand of shore
The sand as hot as the sun
A peaceful place
But the ocean takes many lives
It has blood on its hands

A young child makes his way to
The cold depth of the sea’s hands
A large wave drags the boy under
The taste of salt water fills his mouth and nose
The soft sounds of the upper world soon are
Replaced by the bubbles of the sea
Bubbling up to meet the surface that he just left

He sinks lower and lower into the darkness
Replacing the light of the sun
a murderer as soft as the night
But as deadly as what is brings
... a dark and silent death ...

A powerful force for a soft blue sea
Death a force of sadness
The sea a place of peace
Death over takes the sea turning against us

The ocean doesn’t care who it kills
Taking them forever into
A dark black endless abyss
To float dead till the end of time
