Where To

Under the cover of darkness
I lay awake,
Wondering what tomorrow will bring
Overcome with worry
That I'll never wake from my sleep
For I've colored the world
With my joy and happiness,
But someone comes to smother it
The governor over all
He comes to take me and all away,
Away to a place not filled with blood
Our loved-ones wait for us
Among a crowd of few

I sit up straight
Covers off the edge of the bed
Another dream,
But one that rests me in peace
