Like It Matters

The air smelt like it did that day.
The day I saw the buildings never lived in, always worked in
Never mine.
Like it mattered as we entered the subway
The smell of sweaty leather sticking to my skin
Class to get their obviously.
Like it mattered when your heroes would be sprawled in front of you
Instruments in place
Memories of obsession flooding back
The building looks daunting, haunting
The people there for the same thing as you
Yet the differences in personality honestly couldn’t be plainer.
Like it matters
Not when the melodies fill your ears
Shed a tear
Your not the only one thinking it.
When your there
Nothing matters.
