Nothing is Guaranteed

Hospitals are filled with different things.
The sorrow and joy that life can bring.

There are doctors who only play the game,
and can't promise things will be the same.

Families who cry out and try to keep in line.
Others who thank god they even got there on time.

Life can begin.
Restart, survive.

But life can end.
Finish, die.

Things are broken,
things are fixed.

Minds are fading.
Emotions mixed.

There are never any guarantees.
No riddles, clues or even keys.

To what happened or what could have been.
No masked smile, or evil grin.

No one to punish, yet always someone you can praise.
For tragedies and miracles in so many ways.

That's why I'm sick of that place and the uncertainties of it all.
But those are the ups and downs of a hospital.
