The Nighttime

The pitch darkness was enveloping
The town in this time called midnight
When the daytime had finally subsided
From the sky, I smiled in delight

I had waited for this time, this moment
Where I could find peace lying await
When everything was completely silent
It felt easeful, and I was enchanted

Why fear the dark when it brought you no harm?
Its presence was far from dangerous
Feel its magic, its compelling charm
Those shaded beauties were almost flawless

Thousand stars hovering around the moonlight
The enthralling view was binding my mind
I wish for no welcoming of the twilight
Because everything here now felt so fine

Nonetheless, the darkness came to an end
As the sun slowly rose from the east
I wished for another solely time to spend
Tonight, when the light would once again cease
