Inner Self

Inner Self

A voice calls out,
It’s my own,
Dark and sinister,
What I say I don’t know,
Looking around,
People are staring,
I begin to run,
Again I hear my voice,
She’s yelling out demands,
She wants out of the cage,
It’s got so many chains,
The lock resembles that of a monster,
I begin to open the door,
When she grabs me,
Beginning to break my arm,
Letting go,
I leave her in her cage,
I always hear her voice,
But I always leave her be,
I have come to realize she is the animal,
The evil I have,
She’s inside of me,
But it’s not just me,
She’s in everyone,
