Keep me Sane

If only you knew how it felt to be locked in a room,
blinds shut, hand over your mouth,
air rushes in,
air rushes out,
secrets and memories will never see the light of day again.
I keep my window cracked
so I can hear the wind blow through the stars,
I cross my fingers to hope to know where you are.
My mind is burning, the line is blurring,
the sand is falling,
my hopes are calling.

Night moves on to day.
Morning fades to noon.
Sunlight fades to moon,
yet I haven't made my choice.
Admit to feeling?
Forget the healing?
Pain is hell, but numb is even worse.

I so wish wish to write a happy end,
as if darkness had an end.
But the end has yet to come,
So I will have to stay.

I wrote this in ten minutes but it really captures my feelings as best as a ten minute poem can.
