Fake Smiles

Do you see the difference,
Between night and day,
Red and green,
Falsehood and truth,
Can you see my eyes compared to my mouth,
My eyes full of hatred and fear,
The side of my mouth turned up,
I twitch to show you,
I am only a girl,
I cannot outlive life,
Or lift a weight of 1000 pounds,
That seems to rest on my shoulders,
All I can do for now,
Is put on this facade,
A grin with sorrow,
A fake smile,
You can't even tell is there.
