the day of tragedy

They waited for the kids as they pulled out of the bus
See if they made it out of the dust
Some did
Some didn’t
It’s okay to cry
We will make through this terrible crime

Compassion is key is what one student said but never got to send her message because she is dead
The striking tears that run down our face might just never go away
As we cry for the people who lost their lives that day

Weapons were used and things were said
Yes people make mistakes but some can’t be dead
They had one option is what they thought
And they can’t go back now and make it right
They said things they didn’t mean and did things the may regret
But we will never know what went on in their heads

People were killed and people were hurt
People ran in fear for there life as the police did dirt
They waited over 2 hours just to go in
To find the to boys dead in the library end

They could have saved more lives if they would have gone in
They could have made it possible for the boys to get help
They decide it didn’t matter and still waited two hours
Maybe they regret their decision but possibly not
We will never know

But as we sit there on April 20th we will just have to remember
That something went on that we could have stopped
Something went on that shouldn’t have not
We should make a difference and change the world
Play a different game then those in the world
But we should never forget the day of tragedy

In Love And Memory for any one who died in the April 20th 1999 columbine shooting including the 2 boys Eric Harris and Dylan Kelbold who took there own life due to bulling we have to be nice and start a chain reaction like what Rachel Scott said to do.
