Painting Flowers

In the best of the times or the worst of them all
You could find his royal majesty of insanity
Away in a thrown of teapots and bittersweet misery
A hat by a crown and a paintbrush attached to the hand.

And he dances holding dearly his shadow for a partner
In solitude accompanied, by the memory of a dream of a girl
Of a girl who dreamed, that she dreamt.

And when she wakes up, she won’t fall through any hole
Not even those crossing the atriums of a severed soul.
Is she Alice? Almost Alice? Alice enough…
Gazes of twins carrying white flowers
And the petals that surround a kid, a girl, Alice what?

Is she Alice? Almost Alice? Alice underground.
Is she Alice? Almost Alice? Alice of sizes, none the correct.

And she is swirling through his head
Carving hearts through his brain
On a hat flying away, his grin broken into a somber frame
Her name is Alice, crawling through upside down stairs.

And he don’t wanna loose his head, he don’t wanna loose his self
But down with the red queen is still his phrase
And his hopes are on this young girl, Alice instead.
Chains of sorrow resound by his possible grave
And the gibbering smile of cat
Will draw him through liberty and half moons
A pair of eyes of blue.

In the table of destiny his played, and miss-given a bloody fate
A soldier, an army or one self his battle shouldn’t be fought for a secret bet.
Fearful grimace and fists clashing to flesh, clashing to red cards
A battle of sounds, armors, horses, hearts of red

But crowns conceived return to their nicked remains
A champion of wit and intelligence, wins the play
Neon blood stains her eyes, her hair, her lips
Twisting to the waltz in his head, he greets, he fleets
Unaware of the zephyr still to sweep his illusion
Alice, Alice, She is Alice! The proper size as well
Desperate in madness of happiness and awe
Glancing mellow through her eyes, he sees the consternation
Daydream nation has come to a finale.

And the hatter of hatters asks again, Could you stay?
You could stay? Could you stay?

And I repeat in an out long after you steer away
Could you stay?
And I repeat in and out
Could you stay?
I repeat in and out
Can you see me now?
I repeat in and out
Can you dream me now?

And if you don’t remind me I won’t forget you
If you don’t dream I won’t face you
If you don’t reach through a glass
I have no reason to make one of my eyes.
If you don’t reach through a hole
I have no reason to reason on my own.

The signs of welcome plead for you again
But in the land of no time and no refrain
I am still painting flowers for you
White into red
I am still painting flowers for you
And over again
I am still painting flowers for you
So I can paint them again
White into red

I am still, painting flowers for you.
