Saving a life

One day I met the nicest guy
But I couldn't work up the courage to say hi!
But one day he told me he almost died...
And I looked at him in astonishment and asked why?

He said to me in the saddest voice
He was talking so quietly he hardly made a noise
Life gave me the hardest choice
There wasn't a thing to rejoice

I saw the darkness in his eye
It really made me want to cry
I looked into the starie sky
And wondered why he almost died

He told me that it was a danger to his life
and he'd almost killed himself with a knife
He'd never grow up to have a wife
I asked him why

He said he couldn't control it
Than we went to a bench to sit
He would through many fits
And he always felt like shit

He said it was a rare sickness
And it made hem restless
it was a time in his life he would never miss
Then suddenly he reached over and gave me a kiss

I was shocked and asked him what was that 4
He looked at me and said for saving him from throwing his life out the door
Then he reached over to give me one more
And I suddenly didn't think my life as a bore

He told me I was the thing that made him think life was worth living
How I was nice and kept on giving
I started smiling
and looked at him and said that your life is worth saving

He turned away but I still saw the tear
And in that tear I saw his fear
And I saw his soul like a reflection in a mirror
And I saw him a lot more clear

I reached over and gave him a hug
And he said I made him feel better than any drug
I gave a shrug
and he gave me a little shove

I felt happy that I saved someone
A life a soul saved from a gun
I took away a burden that weighed a ton
And he can finally have fun

And that night I cried for him
I cried for his family he can be closer 2 them
The light for him will never be dim
All his troubles I through away in a tin
