Burning Candle

Our days together are long gone,

Our love was nothing but a flicker of what it could have been,

With every thought I wonder,

What we could have been

Our days are fading, our love is burning out

Everyday I remember, how bright our love used to be

Burning as bright as a candle; as hot as a flame

The told us not to play with fire,

But we didn't listen & now we're both burned

It might be the end of us,

Our candle might be flickering out,

but I'll always keep you in my heart,

So on a rainy day, I can take the memories out,

& Reminisce on how bright we used to shine.
