Dear Grandma Sue...

Dear Grandma Sue,
Why did you have to be so stubborn? Was it worth it in the end? I know you didn't want to get in trouble for drinking and driving, but you got in an accident. You needed medical attention. But, instead, you took a nap. It's been five years, your friends woke up, when will you?
I know we weren't too close, but I want you back so badly. I know my dad didn't want you to see us much, but I'm fifteen now, I can make my own decisions. I could have visited you every day.
Now, I can visit you, but you never have much to say. I tell you about my life, my problems, but, you are always so quiet. I would sit next to you in the grass all day if I could, but the gates to your new home close at ten.
I just have a few questions for you now. Why didn't my dad want you to see us? Why didn't you try harder? Was a nap really what you needed? If so, remember, it left me desperately needing you.
I love you, and I miss you. You will never be forgotten.
Love,
Parker Cade Nicholls
