The Darkness Is My Shining Light

I wish I could dissapear into this eerie fog
Never to be seen or heard from again
Lost the world entirely
To never have to deal with any of its enhabitents
They clearly want nothing to do with me
A darkness that's so welcoming
I long to be in it's grasp
To feel the hollow haunting of its never ending clutch
To fall head first and never meet the ground
To never have to feel the pain
Or for that matter to never have to anticipate life's reckless blows
Careless and clumsy as they may be, they are strong and all too powerful
I go spiralling downward with no end in sight
But that be because I'm too terrified to open my eyes
I'm not even sure your voice could help me now
There is nothing to make me see the good in all the wrong
Nothing to shine the light through the storm
Because I'm too far gone
I'm falling
