Cold November Day

The sun is shining,
yet it's still cold enough
for sweaters and
jackets.

The chilly breeze flies
through the red and
orange leaves, shaking
and begging them to fall down.

A few more orange leaves
are added to the bright sea
on the field.
Squirrels scurry
through, carrying
the small brown
acorns that they
are saving, for they know
winter is near.

But the sky seems
as if it were still waiting,
still wating for the
weather to change
Because it is only a
cold November day.
