Teach Them How To Dance

This place is black and white.
Excuse me for the image but that’s how music paper works.

And it is also how we work in front of aquariums.
Catching each other’s electric hand face to face me and her and a jellyfish.
Holding as firmly as a shark’s skin is and as slowly as a shark’s swim is.
Then letting go as we give goodnights to the water and fall apart.

Her name is I Really Want You So
Every meeting with her has a pattern but the music we produce is pattern-free.
Melodies sit on wires for the world to hear and the sky to be proud.

Her life depends on stars -
oleanders sinking into all the glasses of mine
which form an instrument of ethereal quality.

The floating animals want to learn how to dance till they are
out of oxygen and till they
dive themselves into the black and the white
and into the glass and into the heart within.

New love sprouts its wings ready to begin
Colored like a rainbow for this flight
Exhaling sun-shaped bubbles for addictive minds to choke.
