Snow White

With poison on my lips
I shallowly inhale the frigid air
My mind demands oxygen
But my body refuses the command
The sky weeps frozen tears of sorrow for me
And I begin to slip from this world

And apple lays inches from me.
The murder's weapon.
It was once a brilliant red
Now its glow is slowly fading
As am I.

numbness settles heavy over me
I'm being buried alive
By my murder's eyes!
While death lingers
By life's door

Time stands still
And it doesn't matter anymore.
No riches, or glory, or gain
Could ease, release, or freeze
This pain!

His promise to come
A distant memory
And yet still I believed
That he would break the spell
that lingered over me.

And suddenly my coffin was shattered .
And streams of light
Ripped through the night
Lashes lifted in confusion,
Not death, but life?

Was this an illusion?
My heart pounded
Blood flowed
And to him whom I loved
My life I owed.

This was for my English class a few years back. My sister helped a bit. I hope you enjoyed it!
