Summer peace
Resting on the grass
It’s a lazy day
Too hot to work
Too hot to play
The sky is blue
The grass is green
Can anything in life
Get more pristine?
The sun is warm
And the breeze is cool
Why stay inside
like at that prison called school?
The ground is soft
But it pokes your back
But at least it’s better
Than that stupid thumb tack
Why, oh why
Can someone be so cruel?
It’s not like you did anything
To that imbecilic fool
But that is behind you
Like the sun is above
A bird obscures your vision-
A beautiful, white dove.
It’s a lazy day
Too hot to work
Too hot to play
The sky is blue
The grass is green
Can anything in life
Get more pristine?
The sun is warm
And the breeze is cool
Why stay inside
like at that prison called school?
The ground is soft
But it pokes your back
But at least it’s better
Than that stupid thumb tack
Why, oh why
Can someone be so cruel?
It’s not like you did anything
To that imbecilic fool
But that is behind you
Like the sun is above
A bird obscures your vision-
A beautiful, white dove.
