FullMoonMe

(I had to write this poem for an English class when I was about 14. The title was supplied, along with the order 'colour, shape, number, action, sound, animal, car, furniture, food, water feature, musical introment, place, plant, greatest fear, word'. )

I am lapis lazuli blue,
deep and limitless, with busts of silver and gold like stars, symbol of wishes
I am a sphere,
the perfect shape of infinite sides, lines and corners, the shape of the universe, sun, moon and stars.
I am 9,
three of threes, one less than ten, a good number, lucky as lapis.
I am a twirl,
spinning out of control, chaos causing, dizzying, creating havoc and mayhem, yet beautiful all
same.
I am the laughter of running water,
Sparkling and as crystal clear as the liquid it is sung by, the voice of the sun.
I am a black cat with blue eyes and white markings,
swaying her tail as she decides if she should kill the mouse or remain asleep.
I am a convertible,
blue with a black fabric roof, speeding toward a brick wall unable to slow to a stop.
I am a reclining couch,
soft and providing comfort and rest, yet ornate and full of elegance.
I am chocolate,
white and creamy, milk, brown and sweet, dark chocolate delight.
I am fresh water,
a waterfall that leaps from the mountains, glows in a pool, and runs a never ending race as a river.
I am a pan flute,
a ladder of sweet harmonies, gracing the ears while stealing the breath of the player.
I am a long-forgotten garden in the middle of the forest,
a place of tranquillity and birdsong, yet full of bugs and poisonous plants.
I am the weeping willow,
sadly morning the sun as it goes down, yet crying for the moon as it fades at dawn.
I am betrayal,
and the death of all I love, pain, existing but not living.
I am “Please?”,
the word one makes in a honeyed voice with wide, innocent eyes.

(I was wondering if anyone saw any theme running through it, or if it was just me.)
