Poem of Useless Facts

Fun to know,
They make your brain grow.
They might even get annoying
and have you destroying...
They are useless facts,
free of tax!

Like women blinking twice as much as men,
Or chimneys cleaned by falling hens.
Every year one hundred people choke to death on a ballpoint pen,
A dollar is worth 91.15 yen.
Rats can last longer without water than camels,
And tree sloths are the slowest mammals.

A two-by-four is only one and a half by three and a half
And ninety pounds is the weight of a newborn calf.
There are two hundred ninety-three ways to make a dollar,
and Taylor Zass invented the first shocking collar.
The dot of an "i" is called a tittle,
and a rainbow (sadly) does not taste like a skittle.

I have only two more to say,
Of my useless facts display today.
Los Angeles' full name is "El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina da losAngeles de Poriuncula"
And the dog star, Sirius, is called Canicula.

Lol. This is really...odd. It was an assignment for Language Arts class, to write a free verse poem that has an ab ab ab rhyme scheme. Blahahaha. :]
