Ocean's End

She falls into the waters,
Diving, twisting; anything
To crumble beneath the tumultuous waves.
Writhing in storms of raging water,
Echoing screams off a cliff, fade.
A thousand voices calling out
And yet, she careens earthward
Alone.

Pushed to her knees upon the ocean floor,
Skyward turned, her face looks to the rolling surface
So much more trouble than it was ever worth.
Launching into a spiraling dance,
She leaps and twists in a last reverie; as her
Eyes close to a world she was already lost to.
She falls into a fatal rhythm
A last, ethereal choreography.
