Listen Love,
These words I speak may not mean much. They may not mean a thing at all. But just in case they do, I must write them.
I remember when we first became friends. I remember it like it was just yesterday. I will never forget the day I met you.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe I would be worthy of a person like you. You are the purest, most beautiful angel. Even if you have lost your wings.
You make me feel as if for once, I am special, beautiful, lovable. You make me believe that I have a purpose. You help me see the good in myself, no matter how hard it may be sometimes. But most of all, you see me for me. You understand me. You listen to me. You care about me. Now tell me, how a girl like me could ever deserve a girl like you.
You make me laugh. You make me smile. You even make me cry. I am forever thankful for your friendship. I hope you know that. I love you so much.
I promise you that there is nothing you can say to me that will ever make me leave your side, abandon you, or betray you. I know exactly what it feels like to be forgotten, left behind, and alone. I would never do that to you. In case you didn't know that, now you do.
I hope you never leave my side. When someone hurts me, I say and do things that I regret immediantly after. But I just want you to know that I love you, and I always will. If I ever hurt you in any way at all, I am sincerely sorry. You are my best friend and I would hate myself if something I ever did or said drove you away. If you ever doubt that, then read this poem. I never want you to feel alone, because you will never be alone. You will always have me, even if you don't have anyone else. We may be across the country, but I will always stick by your side. Through the good times and the bad times. I'm always here if you need to talk, to laugh, to cry, or to smile. Forever and always.
