My Eyes

Look into my eyes
Emotion passes
Like a gentle breeze in the sky
But the world crashes

There's a hidden city of mystery
A massive murder in it's past history
They lay feeling to rest
The memory becoming less and less

Look into my eyes
An ocean of understating compassion
Driven down to a river by all the lies
And the false smiles complication

I think I'm out of order
Lips set in a thin line of emotional detachment
I might as well sign for a heart donor
For a new replacement

Look into my eyes
Glazed over with damage
Code red for the yearning cries
But there's no healing bondage

A gateway to my soul
Yeah right
More like an empty deep hole
I'm a little short to reach that bright light

Stop looking into my eyes
You won't see a thing
Maybe the outline of your idea
Lying in these great green confines

An idea that you're selling short

For I may be emotionless
In my features
I still want to be problemless
In life's picture
