Out Of The Abyss

I am your smell in the morning
I am your tired night eyes
Love has torn apart my essence
And set yours where mine once was

An underling to your beauty
Astray dog behind your feet
You possess my private insides
And set fire to my beliefs

You came along into my cave
Where I'd been hidden for years
Lifted my spirit from nonsense
Pulled me out into the breeze

That's why I now hold you hand
With undeniable need
As your head rests on my shoulder
Of my knife wounds getting rid

I know it's taken me a long time
To come out of my own dark room
But through paths lit with your light's guide
We can take on any monsoon

Keep walking with me, I beg you
Never drive your kiss to far lands
Tell me we'll be clasped forever
In this messy, joyful, slow dance

And even then I am certain
Forever shall end too shortly
For to love your every corner
Centuries would be found wanting

Trapped I am; have been a long time
Never let these locks be crumbled
I forebode there will be dangers
May our foes rapidly stumble

Show me much better horizons
Those that your heart holds the key to
I want to hold you through sorrows
And when glad, stomp puddles with you

We're young yet I fear not say this
I love you beyond all reason
I know you too like me a little
Let's stretch this gleeful, warm season
