The Last Hug and Kiss

You said if one day you're reborn
It would be as a butterfly,
And you'd be the one
To always flutter by.

A few weeks after your death,
And a butterfly, called by your name,
Didn't fly away!
But to Aunt Dar it came.

Maybe it was you
Giving us another word.
And, Mom, to be honest
I don't think I heard....

For everytime I see a butterfly
I hope so bad it's you!
I call out your name,
And it's leaving's nothing new.

That butterfly was your farewell,
One last hug and kiss
Before you made your way
To Heaven's light-filled bliss.

Though you're body and soul are gone from this world, your memory remains. I love you Mom.
