My best friend is the building
The one to which i cling
She keeps me standing tall
Her support my wall

My enemies are the perfectionists
The ones who always tsk
Those who cut me at my knees
They are those with hurtful means

I dread the quiet, long, black nights
That keep my mother from my sights
I fear the drought and it's empty sky
My wilting leaves, for rain they cry

Reaching for the sky
The high blue my lullaby
I shall never falter, shall never rest
