Like Ghosts In Snow

Like ghosts in snow, we moved so silently.
Slipping through cracks in worn-down walls.
Treasuring every moment we had together.

Watching the golden sunset of the evening,
Then the pink-red sunrise at dawn.

Spending all night together,
Watching the tiny silver stars pass by.
Spending all day together,
Enjoying how the seasons changed,
How the weather changed.

From warm to cold,
Light to dark,
Sunny to raining.

I fast forward my life,
A few more seasons turning and you’re gone.

Disappeared, once again, like a ghost in snow.
Screaming out into the pouring rain I had once loved, that now filled me with memories of sorrow.
