The Daffodil...
Oh the Daffodil,
So bright and so sweet,
I now go to the field,
Where we usually meet.
I trek the land,
Thinking of you,
To the land next to the water-mill,
With the water streaming through.
I now arrive,
At this beautiful and peaceful haven,
Where we are safe and free,
And don't need to think 'bout behavin'.
I break your loneliness,
With the company that is me.
Your only friend,
As far as I can see.
I lay down,
As we look at the sky,
And watch the fluffy clouds,
As they pass by.
I lift the ground you sit on,
And swing you 'round and 'round,
As we had a wonderful time,
With barely a sound.
Oh the Daffodil,
So sweet and so bright,
I put you back into the ground,
Because now it is night.
So bright and so sweet,
I now go to the field,
Where we usually meet.
I trek the land,
Thinking of you,
To the land next to the water-mill,
With the water streaming through.
I now arrive,
At this beautiful and peaceful haven,
Where we are safe and free,
And don't need to think 'bout behavin'.
I break your loneliness,
With the company that is me.
Your only friend,

And swing you 'round and 'round,
