My Best Friend = My SoulMate

There is this person I know, My Best friend.
But he doubles as my Soul Mate, He isn't the one.
I don't have romantic feelings for him, but if I'd return them,
if he had them for me. I care about him as much as he cares about me.

I'm not in love with him, but I know I could be
I have very high standards, but they don't include him
I'm the exact oposite to what he looks for.
But I'm glad. Nothing lasts forever, But he is my nothing.

He's my Best Friend, My Brother, My Soul Mate
He's everything I could want
But he's not who I dream about
He's who I want to care for.

I wish he was like me, so I could fall for him.
I wish he was like me, so he could love me.
I wish he was like me, so we could share.
But he isn't like me, he's just all I want to be

He is my Soul Mate.
