Glimpses of Darkness.

clear, crystallized tears,
clouding over what we see
a dark blanket burying fears
covering the way life has to be
if only light was good and pure
instead it burns and smokes
billows of black- on which we choke

every flaw stands out in the light
pollen seeds tickle by, a deadly kiss
petals conceal the war we fight.
sins and lies thrive in a white abyss

Reality's the worse type of growing pain
if only rain could cleanse the stain
but who can make memories fade?
There are no white roses in this world we've made.

Internal turmoil- it's omnipotent.
what sent us on this spiraling dissent?
water breaks through a web of lies.
Who told the truth that led to your demise?
childhood's innocence like petals falling away.
who's to judge who you are today?
when we're all concealing glimpses of darkness.
