I read something,
Taught me a little,
Just a little something,
Place you goals
Raise them high,
Pedestals they deserve,
Darlings give them fame,
For goals are only temporary,
As is everything else in this lovely life,
Of an optimist.
The land,
Land where Pessimism vanishes,
Dreams come true,
But you know I never coulda done it without you.
9:20 now,
Passed the emergency,
Yet you're rushing.
I see no fire,
I see no fight,
See nothin' is in front of us,
But dreams,
Temporary,
Temporarily lost in happiness.
Don't let it fade.
I read something,
Taught me a little,

Place your goals,
Make them true,
Bring them to life,
Prove them to be,
Living, breathing, a foot in front of you.
You have wishes,
Wishes are for stars,
Shoot for the moon,
Wishing all the way there.
Place your flag,
and know what I learned,
I learned a little something,
I read something,
Taught me a little,
Just a little something,
Place your goals,
make them good,
not too high,
make them reach,
like those towers,
a goal of the U.S.
Make them high,
And then proud,
For goals are only temporary,
As is everything else in this lovely life,
Of an optimist.
