Behind Closed Doors

Another few breaths
until she hits the floor
She doesn't want death
so she reaches for the door
He breaks her arm
and then smiles from above
Always doing harm
and he calls this love

A tear rolls down
and she gives up her plight
Her lips turn to a frown
as she's too tired to fight
Some shattered glass and she's there no more
because no one ever sees behind the closed doors

Blackness clouds her eyes
as she screams one last time
No time for goodbye's
again she's crossed the line
She doesn't know what set him off
but she sure is sorry
As she cries and pleads his voice turns soft
and he tells her not to worry

A tear rolls down
and she gives up her plight
Her lips turn to a frown
as shes too tired to fight
Some shattered glass and she's there no more
because no one ever sees behind the closed doors

His hateful words fill her with doubt
and she thinks that shes to blame
She screams and cries for some way out
but her own head says the same
Some shattered glass and shes there no more
because no one ever sees behind the closed doors
