Question?

Winter blows in on a long autumn day,
I’ve been away too long and I can’t take it any longer.
Summer kisses the sun goodbye hoping it will return,
And the midnight sun caresses the day.
As gold tinted sunlight kisses my tearstained cheeks,
I run through the swamp,
Reaching out to catch the winter,
But it’s still out of touch.

I need you like a fish needs a stream,
Like a tide needs the moon, like a year needs seasons,
And as the clouds release blood that rains from the sky,
I keep running on the dusty road,
Over traveled by the lonely and wonder when I’ll return.
Cue thunder.
