The Noise
One day
There came this
Awful Sound
A ring that
Pierced my ears
And blocked out
All other sound
And I could not
Stop the Noise!
The first stab of Sound
Clean and sharp
Made everything
Blurry, strange
And out of shape
And I could not
Stop the Noise!
The pain of
The second stab
Broke through my Skin
And spread throughout
My Body
As if it were
In my blood
And I could not
Stop the Noise!
The Drowsiness came
Over me then
And I felt like I
Could sleep
My whole life away
And I did
But Sleep did not
Stop the Noise!
There came this
