Sicilian Proverb, My Interpretation

My solitude is spent with God.
I speak with Him, feeling weak and frightened
Because He knows what I've done.
His voice is filled with rage as He reveals my history
Of wickedness.
My mind whirs and aches
As realization flows in and takes over...
I am but a wretched sinner.
But then, my jaded eyes lift to see His face
That is now serene and forgiving.
He tells me that I have repented.
His anger only lasts for a time.
He says, "I am your Father, your Master, and your Friend."
Friend.
He may have punished me when my face was dirty,
But He also praised me when the dirt of sin was washed away.
