Two Lovers

Maybe they’re silly lovers
Wasting time in endless summers.
Can’t see the snow in their eyes.
No voice for several lies.

Anything’s worth it to feel this full.
Not suffocating in a blackened pool.
What’s wrong with promising forever?
Are they both really that clever?
Maybe it’s really not time to end
And maybe it’s not all for pretend.

Each of them smirk with joy.
The others think it’s just a ploy.
That’s the point of the lover’s laughter.
Nothing’s silly with love ever after.
