To What Would Shakespeare say?
To what would Shakespeare say
To what would he keep at bay
To the flowers in the fields of which he has undone
That only satisfy him when he has just begun
The tarnished scenery that circles his mind
Have never come close to that of my kind
The love profound that circles ‘round
Close to the tragedy which it oft’ renowned
The characters that wake only at night
Can only be seen with his internal sight
To what would our writer say
If he could not see the light of day
To what would he keep at bay
To the flowers in the fields of which he has undone
That only satisfy him when he has just begun
The tarnished scenery that circles his mind
Have never come close to that of my kind
The love profound that circles ‘round
Close to the tragedy which it oft’ renowned
The characters that wake only at night
Can only be seen with his internal sight
To what would our writer say
If he could not see the light of day
