Class of Twenty Eleven

The class of 2011,

Our hopes and dreams and goals
are very much alive.

Some of us are sad
and some are quite relived.

Our times together are over
as our diplomas are received.

I cannot mention all the people
who hold a place in my heart.

I cherish each and everyone of you,
Good luck on your new start.

This past year of high school
has been the very best.

We made new friends met new people
and put old friends to the test.

But now it is time to look to the future
instead of gazing at what is gone.

The sun is setting on this part of life
and tomorrow brings a new dawn.

Our lives are just beginning
and our fate is ours to choose.

We can't control the obstacles
but it's our choose to win or lose.

Hard times will be ahead
you will just have to be strong.

Don't lose your faith and never quit
the good times will follow along.

I would not be were I am today
without the help of a person or two.

My family deserves all the credit,
for the girl you see before you.

The time has come for us
the class of 2011,

To leave behind the memories
and say all of our goodbyes.

I never could have imagined
how hard this day would be.

To say goodbye to friends and peers
who seem like family.

We haven't always gotten along
we've had our fair share of fights.

But overall we've made it through
to stand before you with delight.

To the class of 2011 I congratulate you
on a job well done.

Your future is out there waiting
