StRaNGe SUBstaNCe
This strange new substance
Difficult to recognize
It glistens
Like unicorn's blood
It sparkles
It is all the colors of the rainbow at once
I'm not sure where it came from
I think it welled up
From someplace deep inside me
Sometimes it gathers in my eyelashes
Trickles between my lips
Collects inside my pockets
Or shines on the surface of my skin
It even courses
Through my veins
When there's enough of it
My grip on it is slippery
It's levels fluctuate
All depending on the day
And the way I mold it to me
Sometimes when I pass a mirror
It fades away a little
When I make something beautiful with it, it swells
I am afraid to look too hard
Into someone else's eyes
What if then, it evaporates entirely?
