i cared for a while
but then i grew tired
of your sickness
that one morning you came up to me
but i pushed you away, annoyed by you
because you always wanted attention
then i went out for the day
and when i came home you werent here
you werent waiting for me
you left me, gone forever
and i didnt even say goodbye
all i did was leave you to be
im sorry dusty, i miss you

my dog had been sick for over a mounth so thats why i was being to be tired of it, its been 5 years now but this poem still gets me, i just wrote it last year, which was when i finally accepted what happened.
