Tell me about the death of dreams,
and how people and the 'nothings' of this world
are never what they seem.
What about hatred and the lust for power?
When you've tried to build yourself a house,
You created yourself an ivory tower.
Tell me how our fears and anger
can take over our hearts, and how
the truth gets melted, twisted, and blurs.
Tell me about the light that can hold it back
Tell me how it can stand alone
in a world that so pitch black.
And don't forget our hate
that leads to our suffering.
A heart like granite and slate;
A soul as non-existent as immortality
I know that somewhere out there
There is an answer to our fatality.
