If I were a book.

If I was a book would you read me?
Or would you set it back in the bookshelf when you saw the cover?
Dusty and unloved.

Or would you find it interesting?
And read the first page?
Would you read slowly with angst?
Or would you read fast with excitement?

Would you read the epilouge or skip it?
Take the time to read the dedication page?
Read the "about author" part?

How many pages would you read 10 or 100?
Would you damage my pages and rip them?
Or would you treat them with care and tape them back?

Would you take the cover off and let it get pencil marks?
Would you bend my pages for a bookmark to remember where you were or would you simply forget?
Would you break my spine and let the pages be unconnected?
If a page fell out would you tape it back or just half do-it and set it back in the book?

Would you let the story teach you lesson?
Or was I just another book your gonna turn back into the library and let someone else abuse or treat with care? Some else's problem.
Would I be a good story you'd never forget?
Or simply just another book?
