Love Too Late
As the stars align,
My thoughts begin to twirl.
The sweet smell of pine,
Makes me go in a whirl.
Feelings rush by
In such a haste,
I begin to wonder if I
Will be able to give chase.
As my pupils dilate,
My heart races.
I begin to wonder if it's fate,
As my feet begin to pace.
Thoughts hit me with sudden force,
I shudder and begin to fall.
But what makes it worse,
Is no one's there to call.
No matter the scream,
No matter the fear,
The only scheme
Is one I can't hear.
Even as I reach,
My eyes filled with sorrow,
I can't seem to breach,
That there will be no 'morrow.
As I fall to my doom,
I begin to regret what I didn't do,
Bringing forward all of my gloom . . .
I never told you how much I loved you.
My thoughts begin to twirl.
The sweet smell of pine,
Makes me go in a whirl.
Feelings rush by
In such a haste,
I begin to wonder if I
Will be able to give chase.
As my pupils dilate,
My heart races.
I begin to wonder if it's fate,
As my feet begin to pace.
