A Poem on Infinity
You promised me an infinity
Of bliss
Of happiness
Of God
A Paradise;
This abstract word
To me
Paradise has become meaningless
And now, I have been promised a new infinity
Devoid of joy
Devoid of misery
Of illness
With no ecstasy
No hope
Saturated with truth
Numerical logic
It’s all I need
No promises of feelings
This infinity is not elusive
It is there, within reach
An intimate part of the numbers
I enter this new world
Let it take me away
A world unable to lie
Unable to cause pain
A perfect world where anyone can belong
Anyone can find meaning
Math is what I long for
Of bliss
Of happiness
Of God
A Paradise;
This abstract word
To me
Paradise has become meaningless
And now, I have been promised a new infinity
Devoid of joy
Devoid of misery
Of illness
With no ecstasy
No hope
Saturated with truth
Numerical logic
It’s all I need
No promises of feelings
This infinity is not elusive
It is there, within reach
An intimate part of the numbers
I enter this new world
Let it take me away
A world unable to lie
Unable to cause pain
A perfect world where anyone can belong
Anyone can find meaning
Math is what I long for
