Waiting

A million diamonds dazzling
Across the pitch black sky
They shake and shatter in their ending
As I watch and wait to die

It’s cold tonight, out in the valley
I lay my head upon the grass
Another shooting star explodes
The end of days has come to pass

A snowflake falls and hits the ground
I turn to see it melt away
In its place is a liquid crystal
I shed a tear for our last day

I left you there, I wish I hadn’t
A patient love deserves more than this
As I’m waiting here to die
I still wait for that one last kiss

The sky is falling down tonight
Maybe this was meant to be
Will you lay here by my side?
Or will you come and save me?
