About the shootings

The shootings divide virginia tech, Lancaster and Columbine

everyone running in terror and fear

some beginning to realize that the end was near.

Screaming and shouting

Not knowing and doubting

that they would be able to get away

they had nothing left to say.

Afraid of the loud noises and gun shots

all they could think was the word stop

chaos and rampage

not all could be saved

Families wanting them home

although they may never again be able to roam the streets and the fields

only wishing they wouldve had shields

Although you may beleive

that for the ones we still see

that's just because there alive

that doesn't mean they don't remember the pain inside.

And all you can do is pray and wait

to see who it is that gets away

just once again we should say violence is not okay...
