Seven Deadly Sins - Lust

Hearts pound in a rhythm
Shatter the silent night
And a couple's love shall twist
And grow through the flight.

A desire for perfection,
For a partner of the soul,
Yet sometimes naught shows up
But the wrong piece to the whole.

Sometimes we need a body
A beautiful sin
To commit the ultimate dance
And lose oneself in.

To feel the aching need
And become something less than human
A rush so many live for
And others; die in.

A wandering glimpse
Of a figure so fine
Sets the forbidden stage
For desire; be it yours or mine.

Green with dark envy
And red with blood on the sheets
Black with stain on the soul
And purple with mock-majesty.

Fiery passion is all that it needs
The deadly sin partnered
By vanity and by greed.

Yet worst of all
No one can hide
Whoever you are
Everyone lust shall find.
