I Wish I Could Forget You

I wish I could forget you.
You tore my heart into two.
Do you really even feel remorse?
Well, the answer is no of course.
It's all my fault.
Now all I taste is the dark red liquid salt.
Stay away from me,
Because the distance is our only remedy.
Without me around,
All is serene and sound.
The sun will continue to rise,
Even though the scratches increase in size.
All will go on,
As my blood scatters the lawn.
My tears are shed,
My only feelings are dead.
Can you see it?
The candle of misery is lit,
And nothing can put it out.
All is over with one last doubt.
These knives are so sharp,
But they are melodious as any harp.
As the blade cuts my skin,
I laugh as if I've committed the greatest sin.

This is a poem I wrote when I was feeling nothing, but dread and regret. The words and meaning are expressed by my self blame. I'm over it now, but I hope you all enjoy!
