Why Are You So Paranoid?

The walls are closing in
It's getting harder to breathe
Everything looks so terrifying in the dark
You have never been so afraid, I see
So afraid to die
And yet unable to live life to the fullest
Paranoia sweeps through you like a wave
And you feel yourself going under
Give way to your fears
Suspicious of everything
Spiteful feelings
So scary
Hide yourself in the cage of your own making
Arm yourself with your so-called "knowledge"
Prepare yourself for the worst
But still feel the slimy hand of fear
Your blood goes cold
Your face palens
I stand here amused.
How many times have I warned you?
Cautioned you
And yet you fear the wrong things
Accept the wrong things
I shake my head
I give my final warning
You look at me
You have one chance
You turn away and I walk away sadly
I hear your screams
Don't you listen to me anymore?
I'm Common Sense
At least I had the decency to warn you
Until your final moment
You were always so paranoid.
