Closet Cynics

In life we tend to hope for the best but expect the worse.
We try to see the bright side but wallow in pity.
Children are taught its not about winning but society tells them to go for the gold.
Young women wish to be older than they are but older women wish they were younger.
People say be happy with what you have but are usually more desperate than you.
Funny how everyone wants to be an optimist when they look at life with a pessimistic view.
The world we live in is sadly full of closet cynics.
